# Any plans for Redis Upgrade from 2.4.10 to \> 2.8.0

Any plans to upgrade Redis in the sensu omnibus? Right now Sensu is bundled with 2.4.10, but I’m looking to set up Redis with their HA sentinel, so I’ll need Redis \> 2.8.0

Any reason why running sensu with redis \> 2.8.0 would cause issues? anyone tested that?

I'm using sentinel with the "old" version on the 2.6.17 (use latest 2.6)

I'm using the pattern from failshell.io to use haproxy with a custom  
healthcheck as the sensu server is not sentinel-aware:

So, 2.6 works for me with the old sentinel. I have not tested 2.8.
