# New docs for using PostgreSQL with Sensu

We added some new docs to help you secure and configure PostgreSQL:

- [Secure PostgreSQL](https://docs.sensu.io/sensu-go/latest/operations/deploy-sensu/secure-postgres/), a guide for securing communication between Sensu and the PostgreSQL event store using certificate authentication
- [Use environment variables to configure PostgreSQL](https://docs.sensu.io/sensu-go/latest/operations/deploy-sensu/datastore/#use-environment-variables-to-configure-postgresql), a section that explains how to use Sensu backend environment variables to configure PostgreSQL without exposing sensitive information
