# Pass specific data to handlers

Hi all

I’m looking to filter event data out of my sensu check output before passing it onto my sensu handler.

I saw that this can be done using mutators.

Can I get a mutator to influence whether what data my handler gets? like only state changes?

Can some please shed some light on this?
