i believe you’re looking for the ‘occurrences’ and ‘refresh’ attributes that can be set on checks.

I am going through the work of porting our checks to Sensu, but in doing so I have come across several checks which make use of notification\_interval. This allows us to only send repeated warning/critical alerts after a certain period has elapsed. Does Sensu have a way of doing this?

Joe,

Appreciate the quick response! I was a bit confused by that description (“Number of seconds handlers should wait before taking second action.”), as I want checks to return to normal as soon as the underlying issue clears.

Example: If I set my check to refresh 1800, it sounds like the handler will only be notified again for that event after 30 minutes, even if the issue returns to OK a minute later. I don’t want the check to appear as critical for 29 minutes.

Does that make sense?
