Where does Sensu store event logs on the Sensu Server disk for tracking?

Hey @Nilesh_B1

I’m Dishi from the Sensu team at Sumo Logic. Thank you for reaching out with your query!

Sensu utilizes journald for storing event logs. I recommend reviewing this document, as it should provide clarity and help you better understand the scenario.

Let me know if you have any further questions!

It seems the events that we see on Sensu dashboard for any checks fail are not being updated anywhere on disk for auditing. do you have a way to write them to disk @dishi-singhal

Hey @Nilesh_B1

Currently, Sensu retains only the last 21 check events, which may not be sufficient for long-term auditing. To meet your auditing requirements, we recommend storing event data in an external Time-Series Database (TSDB). This will allow you to retain events for extended periods and perform detailed audits.

Thanks @dishi-singhal let me go through it .
