Although not all about Sensu, I'm hosting a meetup in SF that includes
a talk on how we use Sensu to power the monitoring in Yelp's SOA
infrastructure:
It will be recorded too, I'll post links on that once they are available.
I just have trouble imagining how people are building dynamic
monitoring into their systems without Sensu's localhost:3030 ? But
at this meetup I'll share how we do it at Yelp.
There are links also to the actual slide decks. It is also captioned
for those like me who can't understand myself when I talk too fast.
The Sensu-specific stuff is in the last quarter. (but you kinda have
to watch the whole thing to understand what the demo is "doing")
It shows how we use Sensu's external-check-result feature: https://sensuapp.org/docs/latest/clients#client-socket-input
to really cool effect.
So great! Obviously this would not be possible without such a flexible
monitoring framework.
As you can see I'm such a big fan, and thankful for all the Sensu
contributors who made it available to build such great things upon!
